London: R. Balfe, 1765. ~Recently rebound in full dark brown calf, single gilt fillets framing boards. Raised bands, gilt decor, and black gilt label to spine. Spine faded. 12mo (11 x 17.8cm). All edges red. Hinges sound. Replacement endpapers and blank endpages. Recent bookplate and pencil inscription with bibliographic information to inside front board. Half title. Undated and published anonymously: estimated date and attribution taken from ESTC. In two parts: part II has separate undated titlepage, 'The Judgment of the Bishops of France, Concerning the Doctrine, the Government, the Conduct and Usefulness, of the French Jesuits', pagination and register. Terms of Sale: Please provide payment with order, preferably by credit/debit card (VISA, MASTERCARD or any other major provider) or PayPal. We accept Money Orders and cheques, made out to St Philip's Books Ltd, but please ensure they are drawn in Sterling from a UK bank to avoid a £5 bank conversion charge.
