Bound in half blue calf with raised bands, leather title labels, gilt ruling, gilt vol. nos. and dates to spines. Pebbled blue cloth with OCTAVIA HILL and coat of arms of the House of Commons stamped in gilt to upper boards. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Bookbinder's labels for "Jas Truscott & Son Ltd./ Contractors for/ Bookbinding to/ H.M. Government" to eps. 1929 stamp of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Library to front and rear blanks and fold-out charts and a LSHTM Presentation bookplate (not filled in) to rear pastedown of Vol. III so assume the books were donated at this point. The 'Separate Report' has a short introduction stating the authors were unable to agree with the Report of the majority and have set forth their own suggested reforms. The three volumes are in excellent condition overall with rubbing/bumping to corners; reinforced hinges; no inscriptions or internal markings other than aforementioned library stamps. A unique item.
