Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott Company, 1929. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First edition. Precedes UK edition. Brown cloth with blue lettering to the front board and spine. Light wear to the corners and one heavily bumped corner, a couple small bumps to the board edges and spine ends, clean throughout and the binding tight and square. Dust jacket not price clipped, clear tape to the verso of the dust jacket at the edges and a couple pieces to the middle of the spine, a few small nicks and tears around the edges, with chipped corners and shallow chipping to the spine ends, the jacket spine also faded.

Dust jacket has corners of the flaps trimmed/clipped, wrinkling, chipping, crease, tears and some open tears on the edges, corners and sides, scattered chipping, scuffing, scratches, rubbing, and few small open tears, tanning, and shelf wear. Book cocked, lightly bowed, wrinkling on the spine edges, some scattered rubbing and scuffing on the cover,some scuffing and light stains on the page edges, previous owner's name written on the front fixed endpaper, light tanning and shelf wear.
