Warszawa: Ksiazka i Wiedza, 1970. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 2 Volumes. 1970. 1st printing. Brown cloth with darker lettering to front and spines. Headbands a little loose but books tight and square. Corners bumped and jackets at bit worn at extremities but very good overall. Clean, with the original dust jackets. Errata tipped in to volume 1 at front endpaper. Text in Polish. The diaries of Nazi official, Hans Frank (1900-1946). A very good 2 volume set.

Warszawa: Ksiazka i Wiedza, 1972. Second edition. Hardcover. vg. 2 volumes. Sm. quartos. Brown cloth with black printed numbers and lettering. Vol. I: 1939-1942. 616,[1]pp. Vol. II: 1943-1945. 674,[1]pp. Rare Polish language edition of the diaries of Nazi official, Hans Frank (1900-1946). In 1939, following the German invasion of Poland, Frank was appointed "Generalgouverneur für die besetzten polnischen Gebiete" (Governor-General of the occupied Polish territories). He oversaw the segregation of the Jews into ghettos and the use of Polish civilians as forced and compulsory labor. After being captured by American troops in 1945 he was indicted for war crimes and tried before the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg. Frank voluntarily surrendered his personal diaries to the Allies which were used against him as evidence of his guilt. He was found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity and was sentenced to death by hanging. The sentence was carried out on October 16, 1946. Text in… Read More
