Signed first edition of Siegfried Sassoon's first part of his autobiographical trilogy. Octavo. Original grey and brown marbled cloth, titles to spine gilt on green ground, top edge dyed green. Dust jacket is NOT present (check our other listing that has the dust jacket). Copy of owner's 1963 letter describing circumstances of book acquisition mounted to front free endpaper. Internal pages are strikingly clean--a very nice signed copy of the famous English poet of the last century.
