Cardboard slipcase in fair condition comes with the book. Condition: Good, with light shelfwear to covers and spine. Some foxing to endpapers and half-title. Binding sound. Some light foxing to fore-edge of textblock. One or two occasional finger smudges to pages. Dustjacket condition: Fair, generally shelfworn with a couple of small tears and a small chip missing to head of spine of jacket. Not price-clipped.432pp. 76 b/w plates and numerous illustrations in the text. A standard reference work on the subject of English, Scottish, and Irish pewter. It illustrates all known marks and secondary marks of the old pewterers with a series of plates showing the chief types of their wares. A heavy book, will require extra postage. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
