In the Preface the author states his intention "to give the public just a glimpse of the new [scientific] methods and of their findings. Tracing food habits to their source. . . involves not only characteristics of the human mind and body, but also of the history and environment of man and of nations." Clean, tight, and unworn in original lightweight paper dust jacket. Upper edge of front panel and head of dust jacket spine are moderately worn and have short closed tears. All dust jacket extremities are moderately rubbed. Lower front panel faintly creased. Few light pressure marks to panels. Jacket otherwise clean and intact.
