About This Item

Allied Publishing Group, 2002. Facsimile reprint. leather_bound. Fine/no jacket, as issued. About As New in all respects, unmarked. Probably faux leather, bonded at best, all edges gilt, marker ribbon. Facsimile, indexed, ads from the original publication. The oiginal publisher,Little, Brown & Co, did not predict good sales and limited the 1896 first edition to 3,000 copies, published at the author's expense. The book was so popular in America, so thorough, and so comprehensive that cooks would refer to later editions simply as the "Fannie Farmer cookbook", and it is still available in print over 100 years later. Most items ship with free delivery confirmation, electronic tracking and jacket protectors (generally over $10.00) if applicable. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible.
