San Diego, CA: Corinth Suspense Novel #s CR133, CR137, CR141, CR145 & CR148 1st Editions 1966 ----------paperbacks. 5 BOOKS. Offered as the entire series of the Dusty Ayres books as issued by Corinth Regency in 1966, reprinting fantastic stories of a near-future war, first published in the 1930's pulp magazine. Comments on each book follow (my highest rating is near fine, as no used book is perfect). Black Lightning has a 2 inch faint cover crease (actually more of a partial bend, the surface is not cracked), a tiny spot of red on the front cover bottom edge, appears unread, and is near fine. Crimson Doom has small bumps to the spine bottom and one corner, very minor spine edgewear, appears unread, and is near fine. Purple Tornado is close to flawless, appears unread, and is near fine. Telsa Raiders has a tiny crease to the front cover bottom, a tiny corner bump, some edgewear, and is VG+ to near fine. Black Invaders has just a trace of edgewear on the front cover bottom edge, appears…

Holyoke, MA: Columbia Publications, Inc. 1st Editions 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 & 1960 ----------This heavy set will require NO additional shipping charges for standard shipping for a US or Canadian order, overseas orders will require a shipping charge DRAMATICALLY LESS than actual postage (inquire). Science fiction pulp magazines, digest size, 38 issues in all. Science Fiction had been standard pulp size from its' start in 1939, to 1943, when it was discontinued. None of those 1939-1943 issues are included in this offering. In 1953 and 1954, 2 digest size test issues were published, then in January 1955 regular publication began, and ran until May, 1960. Offered here is the COMPLETE set of the digest size 2 test issues (1953 & 1954), and the subsequent 36 regular publication issues (1955-1960), to a total of 38 volumes in digest size. Of some interest is the fact that the official title of this magazine is "Science Fiction Stories". The prefix "The Original" was a descriptive blurb added in September 1955 to indicate that this was the first magazine to be titled "Science Fiction" way back in the pulp days of 1939. In any event, this is the complete 38-volume set of the digest size Science Fiction Stories or The Original Science Fiction Stories, call it what you will. Many of the major writers of the period appeared in Science Fiction Stories, including Philip K. Dick (3 stories), Isaac Asimov (2 stories), Robert Silverberg (at least 17 stories under his own name and pseudonyms), Algis Budrys (6 stories), Clifford Simak (3 stories), many others. Some notable stories are The Tower of Zanid by L. Sprague de Camp, Caduceus Wild by Ward Moore, and R.A. Lafferty's very first story, Day of the Glacier. Some issues have creases, small tears, chips, spine damage, staining, pen on cover. Condition ranges from fair to near fine, with most being at least VG.. First Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good. Illus. by Ed Emshwiller, Frank Kelly Freas, Paul Orban, Alex Schomberg, Others (front covers). Note: our prices on Biblio are the LOWEST of any of the sites on which we list our books.

Description:
Los Angeles: Bantam Publications, Inc. / L.A. Bantam # 23 , 1940 ----------vintage paperback. This is a 100-page abridged edition of "Tarzan AND the Forbidden City". It is an important book, as it is the first Edgar Rice Burroughs title to be published as a paperback. There are at least 3 cover variants of this title, 2 with text only covers, and this one, with an illustrated/pictorial cover by an unknown artist. Zeuschner 570. All 3 variants are rare, with this pictorial cover variant, apparently the rarest of all. In fact, it is one of the rarest of all paperbacks. Slight spine tilt, cover creases, edgewear, 2 small scuffs to the illustrated lion, tiny (1/4 inch) split to spine bottom, a good copy.. .. Mass Market Paperback. Good. New York: Avon Books # 285 1st Printing 1951, Ace Books #s F-304 & F-312 1st Editions 1964 ----------3 paperbacks. 3 books incorporating the adventures of Myles Cabot, the Radio Man, on Venus. There were other "Radio Man" stories by Farley, but these are the only ones to reach book form. Avon published the 1st book, "An Earth Man on Venus", in 1950 (some sources say 1951, the book itself states 1950), reprinting from the 1948 hardcover which had been titled "The Radio Man". In 1964, Ace issued the 2 subsequent books as paperback originals/first editions. EMOV is the gem of this series: it is a gorgeous, unread copy, with the only flaw being a 1/2 inch closed tear on the back cover, otherwise it glistens as new. RB has a shadow on the front cover where a label was removed, appears unread, and is near fine. RP has a front cover corner crease, a trace of edgewear, a faint back cover crease, appears unread, and is VG+ to near fine. An opportunity to obtain the…
