Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1954. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Illustrated with photographs by the author. An intensely personal account of travel through the jungles of South America. From the library of Bruce Bryan, the first Staff Archaeologist at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and a long time curator at the Southwest Museum of the American Indian in Los Angeles, with his bookplate to the front pastedown. A bit of minor wear to the spine ends and corners. The dust jacket is price-clipped and rather shelfworn, with shallow chipping at the spine ends and corners, and tape reinforcement on both the recto and verso.
