Charles Scribner's Sons. Good. 1883. Paperback. Three volume set, folio (over 15 inches), with each in its own folding box. Each volume is a softcover, with black binding tape. This set is copy no. 118 out of 500 made exclusively for American subscribers and was signed by Audsley at bottom of edition page. Vol. 1: Covers have some scuffing and stains. A half title page before the edition page has a small tear repaired with tape along side edge. Some tissue guards are torn along edges. Vol. 2: One page is tanned from where the sheet with directions to the binder was left. Covers have some scuffing. Vol. 3: Covers have some small stains and some scuffing. Some tissue guards are torn along edges. All 3 volumes have some spotting or foxing on some pages, and some pages have some tanning. Books are in good condition. The folding boxes are hinged on all sides, are black and top covers of boxes have the rising sun emblem, a gilt design of a bird, and Japanese script in a paste down label. Spines have labels identifying titles and which sections are in the boxes. Boxes measure 16.4 x 11.8 inches, have some scuffing and are in good condition. 36.6 lb.; Folio 13" - 23" tall .
