Description:
New York: James Miller, Publisher, 1873. Hardcover. Near Fine. Second edition (originally published in 1861). Quarto. 286pp. Illustrated with fourteen steel engraved portraits. Yellow cloth elaborately decorated in black and gilt. All edges gilt. Boards a trifle soiled, top of the text block a little bumped, some foxing mostly confined to the margins of the engravings, else a near fine copy. Curiously, although all the plates are present, five additional steel engravings of Methodist women are laid in, apparently from "The Ladies' Repository". A handsome volume.
