Missing dust jacket. (Dis) claimer after dedication page states "Lest the reader should be in any doubt, we wish to state that the incidents in this book are al true and the characters completely non-fictitious." Binding slightly loose. Boards mildly bumped and rubbed, except for spine tips boards and gilt features still look nice. Page edges stained and soiled and yellowed not affecting interior. Hilarious high society romp with the likes of HG Wells and Rudyard Kipling in Switzerland and London. A large part of the adventures takes place in France. 35 line drawings by Constantin Alajalou. Pictorial endpapers.
