London: Chapman & Hall, 1865. In publisher's original embossed purple cloth, gilt spine, pale yellow end papers. With 40 wood engravings including frontispieces by Marcus Stone. With the rare slip to the reader preceding p. 1, in Vol. I, and 5 pages of ads following postscript at rear of Vol. II dated November, 1865. No stab holes. Very Good, cloth torn at spine ends, corners rubbed, London bookseller's blind stamp front end page, prior owner name dated 1866 front end pages. An unrestored set of this Dickens classic, and uncommon thus. . First Edition. Embossed Cloth. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
