San Francisco: William P. Wreden, 1968. First THUS. Hardcover. Like New. First thus. Fine. Printed paper boards with white spine label. In original plain paper jacket with small chip in back panel, slight rubbing. A Czech immigrant's diary of his wild west experiences, reprinted many years later in an edition of 540 copies by a San Francisco book dealer, who solicited an introduction by Trout Fishing in America author and poet Richard Brautigan. Brautigan's talents as well as those of the illustrator were in full bloom (as were the '60s) and the book production reinvigorates the spirit of the original narrative.
