Vol. 2 (of 4) of the complete works of Virgil in Latin printed by Wetstein in Amsterdam. This volume contains the first 5 books of the Aeneid.
Description: Contemporary full vellum, fillet border to boards in blind, enclosing flourish ornament on front and rear boards, handwritten title to spine. Quarto: 26 × 20 cm; pp. [2], 706. Title page printed in red and black, with Wetstein's printer's mark, 1 fold-out map (25,5 × 38,5 cm), 5 engraved headpieces and numerous vignettes and decorative ornaments. Red speckled edges.
Condition: Covers slightly soiled and showing some wear. Slight bow to front board. Pages slightly yellowed with age.
