Alberts" on front wrap else very good condition, 9.25 x 12 inches. Cover illustration by Giacomo Patri. The Pacific Weekly was a Left-leaning weekly Carmel, California journal. Lincoln Steffens seized control in June 1936 and push for a more hard-line Communist Party agenda. He acted as editor/publisher from June 1936 to his death in August. Contributors to this issue include Elsa Gidlow (poem), Robinson Jeffers, Sara Bard Field, Charles Erskine Scott Wood, John Steinbeck (one page story "Breakfast"), Louis Adamic, reprints a few letters of Lincoln Steffens, Miriam Allen deFord, Michael Gold, Upton Sinclair, Granville Hicks, Ella Winter, Una Jeffers, Edward Weston (photo of Lincoln Steffens) and more.
