Sydney: Ure Smith, 1951. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 52 p. Tipped-in frontispiece portrait of Russell Drysdale by Geoffrey Powell, with fifteen tipped-in color plates. First edition, limited to 1,000 copies signed by Drysdale. Influenced by abstract and surrealist art, Sir George Russell Drysdale, AC (1912-81) "created a new vision of the Australian scene as revolutionary and influential as that of Tom Roberts" (Oxford Companion to Art). Quarto. Original blue cloth binding, with gilt stamping. The dust jacket is price-clipped, with some occasional mild edgewear. Accompanied by the original acetate wrappers as well. A very good copy. Signed by Author.
