Textblock crisp and without flaw. Price intact jacket is the first issue with code of 971 at the top right corner of the front flap. Jacket lightly rubbed at front fold with tiny nick at base of spine. The scarcest of the John D Macdonald Travis McGee series to find, particularly in this condition. In mylar. . First American Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine to Fine/Near Fine to Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Synopsis

Pale Gray for Guilt (1968) is the ninth novel in the Travis McGee series by John D. MacDonald. The plot revolves around McGees investigation in to the death of his close friend Tush Bannon, who he suspects was murdered to acquire his waterfront property when he refused to sell to developers. In terms of series continuity, Pale Gray for Guilt is particularly important in that it involves a love interest, Puss Killian, who is central to the final book: The Lonely Silver Rain.
