A lovely French language book detailing the history, art, architecture and life of Paris, published just after the end of World War II. Binding has very minor bumps to edges and corners and a very small stain on spine foot. Dust Jacket is slightly soiled, bumped and creased on edges with some staining to spine foot. Illustrated endpapers. Hinge is tight. Pages clean and bright. Index of subjects in rear of book. Hundreds of photographs and reproductions of art (black & white and color) throughout with many contemporary images of buildings, cafes, city scenes, nightlife, etc. A true homage to "The City of Lights."
