About This Item

Edinburgh: Banks & Co. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1885. Presumed First UK Edition. Paperback. A really lovely bright and colourful antique chromolithograph entitled "The Parrots of Australasia" which illustrates up to fifty birds. This illustration comes from the 1885 Victorian publication "The Boy's Own Paper". NO KEY/Text to the print. 2 crease lines from where the print was folded into the book - but easily 'tinted' out for framing. Loss to the bottom left hand blank corner but not affecting the print or text. SIZE of print 15.5" x 10.2" NOT including the plain border or Titles/Publisher. The Victorians did some beautiful colour printing and this is a wonderful example. See Images. ; Oblong Folio 15.5 " wide .
