J.M. Dent & Sons Limited, London, 1947. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. Blue coloured boards with black coloured titles to the backstrip. Blue coloured tint to the top text block edge. Plain text dustwrapper with gray coloured titles to the front panel and red and gray coloured titles to the backstrip. An omnibus of five books, by the author, writing about people, not as they try and fail, but as they actually are. Softening and rubbing to the backstrip edges with rubbing to the book corners and lower book edges. Like browning of the textblock edges and pages. Offset tanning to the endpapers and original bookseller's stamp to the lower edge of the free front end paper. Chipping to the dustwrapper corner and backstrip edges. Heavy browning to the backstrip and light browning to the dustwrapper panels. Numerous tears and chips to the top dustwrapper edge. There is a piece missing from the lower left-hand corner of the backstrip. Browning of the verso dustwrapper. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [10], 3-848 pages..
