San Diego, California: Sundown Reader - Corinth Publications, 1965. SR 563. Rather scarce novel written by the versatile Knoles, mad master of many pulp genres. From the covers: "Corrupt caper. Evan knew this was going to be his last and biggest caper. The pagan pigeon was worth seventy million. and he wanted twenty for himself. The pigeon was a long-time dealer in depravity. and now the man wanted to plunge further into the insane mire of human vice. Evan thought himself ethical: he only killed for profit. He would get everything he needed for the trap, even the doomed young Cuban girl. He knew he was right. until the first scalpel touched his flesh at the depraved - blood party!" 190 pages. CONDITION: a beautiful, square, unmarked, uncreased copy with minimal shelf-wear, compromised only by a touch of discoloration at the spine top, a tiny dot on the bottom of the page block, and a couple small indentations on the rear cover. This handsome and very collectible copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag. A higher resolution scan of the front cover and/or a rear cover scan will gladly be supplied on request.. But then there was Suger, a sumptuous young thing who never wore clothes, never said a word, but who made all her desires quite clear.
