The first impression of the first edition has two examples of repeated lines (last line of page 227 / first line of page 228 and last line of page 230 / first line of page 231). Octavo. Original light blue cloth-backed boards, lettering to spine in gilt, author's facsimile signature to front cover in gilt. With dust jacket. Some creases to spine, head of spine bumped with abrasion to corner, slight offsetting from dust jacket to covers, small abrasions and minor fading to extremities, minor adhesive mark to front free endpaper; a good copy. Extremities of dust jacket worn with tears, creases and some minor loss; a good example of an unclipped dust jacket.
