Description

Paris: Editions De La Gazette Des Beaux-arts, 1927. Ex-library with stamps and typical markings. Bumped and badly worn corners. Tears to top of spine. Bottom of spine has a four inch tear along one side of seam and a two inch tear on other side. These defects could be repaired by replacing the cloth exterior spine. Hardcover board are in good shape except for corners. Tiny fray to cloth spine on bottom. Laid in title block on front cover has a little wear. Bookplate inside cover, stamp and pencilled price on fep. Remnants of card pocket inside back cover. 46 pages of text followed by more than 78 black and white plates. Volume consists mainly of full page black and white photographs of artist's work. Text is in French. Either there is a weak pastedown at plate 31 or this volume has been repaired here: there is a slight separation through which one can see the sewn binding.
