Prague: Plamja, 1931 Octavo, decorated cloth, 338pp. Six original woodcuts by Frantiek Krajc. Josef Jahoda (1872-1946), journalist, novelist, poet, teacher, authored over 90 books. His novels dealt with people on the edge of society, usually in smaller town settings. His most famous work, Havlickuv Maj, was published after WWII. Artist Rudolf Krajc (1907-1934) was an upcoming brilliant artist who was hailed by Styrsky as a new lamp of modernism. He died of tuberculosis within a year of his first solo show.
