Doubleday, Doran & Company Inc., 1939. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1939. No Edition Remarks. 367 pages. No dust jacket. Signed by the author. Brown cloth with darkened gilt lettering to spine. Signed by the author, with dedication to the Coopers. Pages are rough cut. Pages are bright and mostly clear with light tanning and foxing to free endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front paste-down, with a few small nicks, rub marks and creases along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have light shelf-wear with mild corner bumping and slight crushing to spine ends. Moderate tanning and light mottling to spine. Book has a subtle forward lean.
