About This Item
Longmans, Green and Co., 1903. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. FIRST American EDITION, Later Printing. A Very Good volume, light wear to boards; with all 26 b/w illustrations in place (printed on glossy stock). Pages 25 -32 have short closed tears (no paper loss), appears to have been opened a bit roughly. Crown and foot of spine cloth slightly worn, impacting the 'PE" of title just a tad. One corner gently bumped. A previous owners two line inscription on verso of Frontispiece. Tissue guard in place on frontispiece. A tight copy, with an approx. 3" x 2" damp stain to half-title page through page 2 of story. Really does not detract overall from this lovely copy. 463 pages plus several pages of publishers ads at rear. Volume protected in a mylar slip.
