Mild jacket edgewear and rubbing. Nice and tight first edition of this Asian study by the famed "New York Times" journalist (1908-93), boldly signed by him in full in black fineline on the title page. From the collection of Deane W. Malott (1898-1996) was a noted academic administrator and educator who served as assistant dean at Harvard Business School, chancellor of University of Kansas and president of Cornell University.
