About This Item
Garden City/New York: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1923. Conrad's autobiography has been called "notoriously unreliable and digressive in structure" (Wikipedia) but it is written by a master, and therefore a worthy read. First published in 1912; this is a Very Good copy of a Later Printing which the Author's Note (1919) calls a "reissue in a new form." Not common thus. Blue cloth binding with titling on the spine and front cover in gilt. Issued in a smaller format, with the sailing ship medallion that did not appear prior. Clean text; xxii, 138 pages. Very bright and fresh. Lacking a dustjacket. Touch of rub to the margins. There are three scuffs to the spine, else this would be close to a Fine copy.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
