Description

Philadelphia: Henry Altemus Company, 1922. Altemus' Peter Rabbit Series. Hardcover. 62p. A small hardcover book in good condition with a like dustjacket. Edges of cover faded and child's ownership marks on endpapers. Scattered small stains and creases inside, plus patchy tanning on pages 10-11 where a small flower was pressed. Binding a touch shaken but secure for normal handling. The jacket is lightly soiled and has small pencil marks here and there on the front and back. Edges chipped, with a few spots reinforced with old pieces of tape. More liberal use of tape on the edges of the reverse side. A clearly used but still readable vintage book. This is an unauthorized American edition that was released after the original British publisher failed to obtain a U.S. copyright on Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit character. Illustrated with color plates by J.L.G. Measures approx. 5.7" x 4.3

Shipping within the USA: Standard shipping is $6.00 for the first book and delivery is via US Media Mail. Delivery usually takes 1-2 weeks. Expedited shipping is $12.00 and is by either priority Mail or UPS. Delivery is within 2-6 business days and includes tracking and insurance. Orders of multi-volume sets and unusually heavy books may incur additional charges. You will be notified before the order is processed. Sales tax of 7.50% is added to shipments within Ohio. Payment is accepted by check, major credit card, or paypal. Items may be returned within 10 days of receipt with advance notification; the cost to return items is your responsibility and s/h charges are non-refundable. Shipments Outside the USA are delivered via air mail; rates begin at $25 per book and vary by size/weight.
