Tan pictorial wraps, black comb-bind, moderate shelf wear, small label. Front cover features original title page with polar bear vignette. Pages very good with some corner wear. Illustrated throughout. Bind good; front cover beginning to separate from comb-bind. Good and complete example of the original material. Couple stamps inside front and back covers, card pocket at back: "Association for Research & Enlightenment, Virginia Beach, Virginia," Edgar Cayce's legacy institute, and: "Science of Thought Metaphysical Library, Brighton, Michigan." Features illustrations and photographs of historical figures, explorers, theoretical structure of earth, Antarctica's great barrier ice wall, bird's-eye view of the opening to the interior of earth, related unexplained phenomena, and much more. Examines hollow earth theory with the north, and south, poles being entrances to an interior earth at the depths. Uses facts of nature as evidence, circumstantial clues, and anecdotal accounts from polar explorers, etc., to demonstrate the greater than probable case of at minimum more than meets the eye below our feet. Logically and critically examines the hollow earth theory with poles being entrances to a middle earth or possibly simply another world beneath our feet. Typically this theory posits large entrances at the poles. Reed offers a stunning collection of explorer's reports on strange characteristics including warm winds, deposits of brightly colored dust and rocks embedded in icebergs, large ice-free areas, fresh water regions in the open polar ocean, and bizarre luminous auroras emanating from the opening. According to Walter Reed, these and more incongruous phenomena lend support to the polar areas as vestibule to the hollow earth. 283 pages. Insured post.. Facsimile Edition.. Comb-bound. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" Tall. Book.
