Carefully re-backed preserving the original spine and paper spine label (worn). Rubbing and wear present to the extremities and boards. Interior is generally clean but with occasional areas of mild scattered foxing as well as some age-toning along the outer edges of the margins. A name and a date (1858) are written in an early hand on the front free fly-leaf. This treatise on superstition and on supernatural beliefs is written by a medical doctor.
