New York: Haywire Press, 1978. Hardcover. Near Fine. First edition. Oblong large quarto. Cloth lettered in silver. Light sunning along the spine, else near fine, issued without dust jacket. Inscribed by the photographer and his wife Maria to his close friend, the artist R.B. Kitaj and his wife, the artist Sandra Fisher: "For my friends Ron and Sandra. With pleasure Lee." A significant association between two American artists. Friedlander published a volume devoted exclusively to portraits of Kitaj: *Kitaj* (San Francisco: Fraenkel Gallery 2002).
