Bradbury and Evans, 1863. Presumed First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good-/No Jacket. 1st and 2nd Series bound in one volume, 3rd and 4th in a second volume. First Series dated 1863, 96 pages, including a two page index. Second Series, dated 1862, 96 pages, no index. Volume's front endpapers is mostly gone, the back endpaper is creased and has a closed tear in it, minor chips to some pages; cover is scuffed, lower three inches of the spine is missing; scratch on the cover. Third Series is dated 1864, 96 pages including 2 of index; Fourth Series, dated 1864, 96 pages without index; endpapers are soiled and creased. Cover is scuffed, glass mark on the front cover. Hinges on both volumes are cracked. A very good set of hundreds of these b/w caricatures from Punch, with a minimum of four and up to alt least eight images per page.
