London: Macmillan and co, 1893. First edition (hardback), volume 1 (and part of volume 2) only. 12mo (18cm by 12cm), [iv], 280pp; [iv], 134pp. Bound in plain mauve cloth, gilt titling to the spine. Binding rubbed, some sunning of the spine, inner hinges strained, ownership inscription to the half-title page. Overall, this book is in good condition. This is part of the first edition triple-decker set, presumably bound up in two volumes. However, this is the first volume only (containing part one and half of part two).
