The title is gilt-stamped between decorative raised bands on the spine.The Pilgrim's Progress" is a classic Christian allegory that "is regarded as one of the most significant works of religious English literature, has been translated into more than 200 languages, and has never been out of print." [Courtesy Wikipedia]. This carefully well-preserved volume displays only some mild to moderate signs of age and wear. There is a partial crack to the front hinge visible on the outside of the binding. The binding and hinges are otherwise intact and secure. Some light soiling, rubbing, and toning appears on the boards and a small moisture marking at the bottom right corner is visible on several pages through the book though the pages are otherwise clean and bright and the text is unaffected.
