Full calf with five raised bands and a faint handwritten title to spine. Complete with six folding plates. Top corner of front fly clipped, as well as to title page affecting the words familiar and introduction (see image). Previous owner's inscription to verso of front fly dated 1864. Minor wear to fore edge of the initial two pages not affecting title page. Some wear to leather on head of spine (see image). A clean copy with no other defacements. Scarce.
