Macmillan Co., 1945. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1945. First Edition. 295 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth. Front free endpaper is stuck to front pastedown. Contains black and white in-text illustrations. Pages are lightly tanned and foxed throughout, heavier to endpapers. Occasional thumb-marking present. Cracking to front hinge with exposed binding, causing board to be slightly loose. Scuffing and marking to edges of rear pastedown and endpaper. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Scuffing and light marking overall. Some water staining to surfaces, with bubbling to cloth to rear board.
