Good+/Good+ (upper & lower textblock has instances of speckled soiling; does not appear to affect pg edges. lower pg edges has an area of light dampstaining, opening pgs have wear from being separated. dustjacket has edge-wear; dampstaining discolorization, foxing & creasing, small tears to upper edge.). Brownish reddish cloth. Map endpapers. 247pp, 78 pp text, 3 maps, 147 b/w photos, 20 plans, 25 full page drawings. light grey dustjacket w/ maroon printing. dark purple clipase w/ full panel title plate. A nice, sharp copy other than the dampstaining; does not affect illustrations or text. Slipcase has dampstaining discolorization, edge's separating, rubbing, etc.; not of presentation quality. Described as the 5th edition on the endpaper, along with a limitation of 1500 copies. Edited by Albert Simons and Samuel Lapham, with an Introduction by John Mead Howells. Various styles and periods of church and plantation architecture are represented in this fine publication. The prominent examples of architecture are explained in detail, and are followed by numerous plates.
