Harper & Row, New York, 1972. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Poor Condition. 1/4 Yellow coloured cloth covered back strip with black coloured titles. 3/4 Black coloured boards. Illustrated dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and red and black coloured titles to the back strip. This may be Julian Symons' masterpiece. It is a brilliant combination of psychological and police-procedural elements, with pure horror at its core. Slight darkening of the text block edges, a knock to the top edge of the rear board. Fading of the backstrip section of the dust jacket, with chipping at the head and tail of the backstrip section, and at the top and bottom of the front fold over crease with the rear fold over crease had being split at the bottom corner for approximately 0 .5 inches. We seem to specialize in non mainstream stuff but read and stock Science-fiction, fantasy, detective fiction, history, biography and true crime, war, natural history. cooking, children's books and try to avoid current text books.We probably have the largest collection of Science Fiction, Penguins and general crime in Victoria in an open shop ( David has 8 bookcases 900mm x 2200mm of sf and f) ( Penny has 8 bookcases 1200mm x 2400 of sf and f )
