The first edition of this work, in the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper.The poetry in this collection was authored between 1926 and 1930, and had either never before been published, or had only appeared in small limited editions.Robert Graves was an English poet, novelist, critic and classicist, with much of his work focusing upon classical themes. As well as poetry, Graves wrote a number of extremely successful historical novels, including 'I, Claudius' and 'Count Belisarius'. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. A touch of rubbing to back strip head and tail, otherwise externally excellent. Dust wrapper lacking back strip, with front and rear wraps and flyleaves all detached from one another, and with small losses to perimeters of each part. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Near Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
