Chicago: Belford-Clarke Co., 1890 Hard cover, in two voumes, 8vo, bound in three quarter leather over marbled paper-covered boards, marbled text block, spine with five raised bands and gilt decoration, the title and volume numbers tooled in gilt upon onlaid black leather labels, pp1-366; 367-800. Wonderfully illustrated. **Lord Byron (1788 - 1824) was an English poet and a leader of the Romantic movement. He was famously "mad, bad, and dangerous to know,"dying in Greece after fighting in the Greek War of Independence. His only legitimate child, Ada Lovelace, is credited as being the first computer programmer for her notes on Babbage's Analytical Engine. Condition: Very Good. Very light shelfwear to covers. Some creases to title page of volume one, seemingly from time of manufacture. A handsome set. OCLC 4789519.. Hard Cover. Very Good.
