About This Item

London: Blackie & Son, Ltd, 1910. De Luxe Limited Edition. Full Leather. Very Good binding. Number 160 in the De Luxe Edition, limited to 350 copies. Signed by Florence Harrison, the illustrator. With 36 tipped in color plates on grey mounts, and 34 black and white plates on white mounts; as well, there are splendid drawings throughout. The plates are all fine, as are the captioned tissue guards which protect the color plates. The vellum binding has darkened and has soiling and spotting. The ribbon ties are lacking. Laid in is a prospectus from Blackie with "Some Press Opinions" for the book, and on the verso the same for Florence Harrison's Guenivere. Previous owner bookplate on the pastedown. There is very light and scattered foxing to the preliminary leaves. Very Good binding.
