Hardcover, green cloth lettered in gold on spine and front board. Top edge gilt. 278 pages. Signed presentation copy by author, dated March 1901 on front free end-paper. Additional private gift inscription directly below dated Dec. 1925. First edition. A collection of religious poetry and verse. In addition to the eponymously named title poem there are 71 verses, including To the Jews; To Livingstone's Memory; Walt Whitman; From Brooklyn Bridge, To a Poet who Denies a Future Life; and Henry Ward Beecher: A Rhapsody. A clean, square, fresh and internally unmarked copy. But for mild scuff to spine a fine copy. Near fine. .
