A limited large paper edition, of which only one-hundred copies were printed.Complete in two volumes.Illustrated with a frontispiece to Volume I.A collection of the poems and works of the prolific English poet Alexander Pope.Pope is generally considered to be the greatest English poet on his age, for his satirical works, and for his translations of the works of the likes of Homer. He also wrote for 'The Spectator'.Including 'The Rape of the Lock', 'Windsor-Forest', 'The Temple of Fame', 'Essay on Criticism', 'Essay on Satire', 'Essay on Man', 'Duncaid', and more.Evidence of a label being formerly adhered to the front paste downs. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper of Volume I. In a full straight grain morocco binding with gilt decoration to the boards. Externally, smart, with light rubbing and some marks to the boards and spines. Spines are a little faded. Hinges are starting a little but remain firm. Evidence of a label being formerly adhered to the front paste downs. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper of Volume I. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with some odd scattered spots. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
