New York: D. Appelton & Company, 1879. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo. 747 p.p. Green cloth boards with gilt and black stamped lettering and decoration to spine and front board, blind stamping to rear board. A.E.G. Beveled edges. Illustrated with ten engravings from drawings by eminent artists, with tissue guards. Boards rubbed on the bottom edges and at the corners and spine ends, a few scuffs, but the binding overall is very nice, tight, and clean. Front hinge cracking. Offsetting to flyleaf. Interior is clean, only foxing is to title page, some light offsetting from plates.
