London: Longman, Brown, Green and Longmans, 1843. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 9.5" by 6". None. The complete poetical works of Thomas Moore published in one volume. With an engraved portrait of Moore to frontispiece and a vignette half title. Bound by Maclehose, Glasgow with binder's stamp to verso of front free endpaper. Thomas Moore (1779 - 1852) was an Irish poet, singer, songwriter, and entertainer, now best remembered for the lyrics of The Minstrel Boy and The Last Rose of Summer. He was responsible, with John Murray, for burning Lord Byron's memoirs after his death. In his lifetime he was often referred to as Anacreon Moore. Previous owner's bookplate to front free endpaper. In a morocco binding. Externally, smart but with minor shelfwear and with slight marks and ink stains to boards, particularly the front. Internally, firmly bound. Bright and generally clean throughout but with slight foxing to first and last few pages. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
