About the author

Lindsay Tanner is special advisor to Lazard Australia and a vice-chancellor's fellow and adjunct professor at Victoria University. He is the former minister for finance and deregulation in the Rudd-Gillard governments and the author of several books, including Crowded Lives, Open Australia, and Sideshow. Paul Kelly is the editor-at-large of the Australian and the author of six books, including The End of Certainty and Paradise Divided. He is a recipient of the Graham Perkin Journalist of the Year Award and two Walkey Awards.
