About the author

Paul Moorhouse is Twentieth-Century Curator at the National Portrait Gallery, London. His books include "Richard Long: Walking the Line" and "John Virtue: London Paintings." Dominic Sandbrook is a freelance historian and Fellow of the Rothermere American Institute, Oxford University. He is the author of "Never Had It So Good: A History of Britain from Suez to the Beatles" and "Eugene McCarthy and the Rise and Fall of Postwar American Liberalism."
